And now for the explanation promised above.

Firstly I'd like to thank those of you who expresed your enjoyment of my quizzes and your regret at their demise.

The Travellers at Wadsley Bridge, Sheffield first became my local 18 years ago when I moved into the area and, under duress, I became the quiz writer, then quiz master about 10 years ago - a role I've learnt to enjoy and hopefully done a good job of.

Unfortunately, in another example of "progress" the Travellers (an old coaching house) is due for demolition and replacement with another pile of steel plastic and glass (see below)

Fortunately my reputation of good quizzes and cheap jokes (usually at my quiz teams' expense) has spread and last Sunday I made my debut at The Railway, so henceforth my QZ postings will be known as "The Railway Quiz with Ian B".
