Surprisingly not - I think that would also have been my guess. This man would certainly have played in the same teams as Petersen though as both of them played their last ODI in 2013.

I think that it's someone who started as a one-day specialist, which was surprising given his perceived stonewall approach when he broke into the test team:
Jonathan Trott?

Yep Trott it is. He does have a terrible strike rate (despite his good average) of 77 runs per 100 balls, coincidentally the same as Alastair Cook. To put that in perspective, only Joe Root of the current England one day batsman has a strike rate below 90.

Not a player I know, so I'll try the MC or whatever they call the guy who introduces the thing

Close enough...They're the people that announce each match on the 1st Tee, they call them The Starter.
Ivor Robson had done every Open for 40 odd years before retiring

I know the mighty Brewers have a very small ground, despite getting promotion to The Championship this season - Burton Albion?

My sister lived across the road from Accrington Stanley's Crown Ground until a couple of years ago and I know it was the smallest at that time but they increased capacity to over 5,000. I'll try Fleetwood Town as the new smallest?

Fleetwoods capacity is just over 5,000, this team play in league one, and are based in Kingston Upon Thames.
