Yep, it truly is a mountain circuit with the height gain bring some 500+feet and a max uphill gradient of 1:6. It also features some fearsomely quick downhill straights where touring cars can touch 180mph. In-car footage on YouTube is well worth a look, particularly as cars go down "the Dipper"

Here's the other half of the chestnut - In the mid 1950s Hurst had played cricket for the Essex youth side but was only the second most famous person to play in that team. This person also did not gain fame as a cricketer - who was he?

It was Bobby Moore - Geoff Hurst said in his autobiography the first time he played alongside Bobby Moore it was for Essex schools cricket team...
