| I have a real passion for roses. There are over 100 in my garden. When the lot are in bloom, not only does it look spectacular, the scent is wonderful. I too like roses.............but only the RED ones!!!! 
Have they managed to make a black or a blue one yet............just out of interest.............I can't tell if online pix are photoshopped colourwise

It seems that the Japanese may have developed a blue rose through gene manipulation but it's nowhere near commercial availability yet. Blue does not occur naturally in roses, there are only approximations. Some very deep red roses look black in certain conditions but there isn't a true black rose either.
I, too, like red roses. Being a lifelong Manchester United fan, I would.
You can get florist roses which have had dye added to them to change the colour. You might get blue or black here, but the original colour would have been something else. |
