Are there any clues to go with it? Looks like some sort of farm? _________________ Rodney Marsh: "So how's your wife…and my kids?"

I don't know where it is but it looks like a very wide alluvial plain (the picture is taken from elevation and either side of the river is flat as a pancake).
Is the road running left to right straight enough to be a roman road? |

That did occur to me but I have a feeling that was surrounded by trees, or maybe that was just in the film _________________ Rodney Marsh: "So how's your wife…and my kids?"

While showing this landscape to a colleague whose hobby is hand gliding all over the country, another colleague piped up saying he has seen this before on a mysteries and myths web site.
Here is what you do. Turn the picture upside down by flipping the picture vertically so that the building on the right hand side near the middle remains on the right hand side. Do not, as I did, rotate the picture by 180 degrees as that is different and will shift the building to the left hand side. It’s the change that’s made to the direction of the roads and river flow that are important.
Next, change the picture to black and white. Now view the picture in a mirror, holding the mirror about a third of the way in from the left of the image, and at roughly 45 degrees, a small compact mirror will suffice. You can now read the name of the place in the mirror using the geographical features of the landscape.
If this is an original photo, and has not been doctored in any way, then I’m sure you will agree it’s eerie.
My colleague suggests that maybe long ago someone with a keen eye noticed the lettering in the landscape first and that’s how the area got its name. Possibly true, but spoils the phenomenon.
Hope I explained the method ok, I’ve been out celebrating…hic. |

Good one, I did wonder why someone would've been doing all that in the first place to actually discover the photo's magical properties and almost tried it just out of curiosity _________________ Which is worse -- ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care! |
