Folks
My trusty cd/cassette player has finally given up the ghost so i am struggling with my music quiz rounds.
Obviously i could burn tracks onto a blank cd, but you then end up playing the intro to the song each time. I look to play beginnings, middles and outro's from songs.
Is there a way to burn segments of a aong that anyone knows about that does not cost a fortune in software?
Many thanks |

There is a free download that i use called Wavepad nch. It allows you to doctor the tracks, faster slower, backwards, intros, middles & ends etc etc. It,s dead easy once you know how. If you want any more info let me know. _________________ Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse

You can tell Itunes when to start & stop a track then burn it onto a CD _________________ Rodney Marsh: "So how's your wife…and my kids?"

| Just another alternative free program, it's call MPTrim. Very small download, just tell it how many seconds of a track you want (you can also cut the beginning off too if its a really long intro). |

Thanks guys
Have not tried the 2 download options yet.
Did try Itunes and whilst it was obvious how to burn a track i could not see how to partially burn?
Will have another look see if i am missing something obvious. |

I am a bit if a lurker here but I have finally seen something I can reply to!
try Audacity - audacity.sourceforge.net/ - it is free and really easy to use. Displays tracks visually an then you can cut and paste sections of songs and output them as MP3s (or various other formats)
I usually edit all my music clips into one track so I can have a bit of a breather in the music round. _________________ Find me at http://www.bigkenny.co.uk

I also use Audacity and think its great. Attach a microphone to your pc if its not built in and you can record your voice giving track numbers intro's clues if you want, so the whole round is pre-recorded to give you a break.
Taking the well known bits of famous songs and reversing them seems to go down well! Try it! _________________ There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't |
