Which liqueur, first distilled in the 1880s, is made in a similar way to brandy, blending white wine with Muscat, herbs and rose petals before being aged in oak barrels. It is now owned by the Remy Cointreau group and the most expensive variety, costing £1,000 a bottle, is made from distillates from the founder's first barrel.
