:D correct in every detail. If the ball falls such that it either hits the hoop or goes through it, the chances are 5/9 it will hit the hoop and 4/9 it will go straight through so it's 25% more likely to hit the hoop...

Quarterly maths question and a little easier this time. If a curve such as a hyperbola disappears off to infinity what is the name given to the two straight lines that the curve gets progressively closer to without ever actually touching?

if the following is true:

2+3=10
7+2=63
6+5=66
8+4=96


Then what would be the answer to this:

9+7= ??

is it the binary scale

3=11
4=100
5=101
6=110
7=111
8=1000
9=1001

therefore 1001 = 9
